My idea for my Thomas Barbey inspired image was very simple. Initially, my first idea had been to photograph my brother lying down and having him surrounded with water. This was not possible due to time limitations.

 

I then got the idea of photoshopping him flying from Miss Cribb's photoshop tutorial with levitation (which I used to complete this task). This led to me taking a photograph of my brother jumping on the trampoline in order to make him look like he was flying. Once again, due to time limitations, I only got a couple of shots of him and they weren't the best flying poses.

 

So when I began to use the photoshop I switched out a sky background for some cliffs and then proceeded to make him look like he was falling of a cliff.
